My Love

who was later to become my husband,
and father of my four children, i thought he
was just what i'd been waiting for.
We met at Butlins in 1958,, and married in 1960, we had a lovely
August Wedding. Then along came the children, who was his
pride and joy. Money was tight but we always
had love for each other.
He was always cheerful even after his first heart attack,
and later when his illnesses began creeping up on him, for eight years
he couldn't do anything for himself but he never complained,
he was a very proud man who i loved to look after,
and who i still love very much. I will carry him in my heart
for the rest of my life. there are lots of things i remember,
but some i want to keep to myself.
